Constantinos Vassilakis

Constantinos C. Vassilakis received his diploma degree from the University of Athens, Department of Informatics and Telecommunications and his M.Sc. degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, in 1995 and 1999, respectively. In 2008 he gained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Athens. His research focused on Peer-to-Peer content delivery.

Since 1997 he has been working as Telecommunications/Computer Networks Engineer, Researcher and Project manager having participated in several research and development projects funded by the European Community and the Greek government. Currently, he is employed by the Greek NREN, GRNet

His current research interests include content delivery networks, self organizing networks, streaming media applications, network - media adaptation algorithms, resource discovery and allocation in virtualized infrastructures, green networking.
